Job Description

​HR Manager at a Trading Company in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Oversees the human resources functions within an organization, coordinating recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with Labor laws and company policies

  • Up to 1,500,000 MMK + other allowances

The Role

The role involves overseeing the recruitment process, employee relations, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits, and ensuring legal compliance with labor laws and company policies

Our client is a leading agricultural trading company specializing in the sourcing, processing, and distribution of high-quality rice and maize

Description

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and policies aligned with the organization's goals

  • Managing recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding processes

  • Monitoring and managing employee performance, conducting appraisals, and supporting succession planning

  • Administering compensation, benefits, and payroll programs

  • Ensuring legal compliance with Labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies

  • Handling employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures

  • Facilitating training programs and employee development

  • Maintaining employee records, HR databases, and documentation

  • Acting as a liaison between management and employees to foster a positive work environment

  • Supporting workforce planning, organizational development, and culture initiatives

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., SHRM) are often preferred

  • Proven experience in HR roles, with strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Proficiency with HR information systems and software

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Results-driven, people-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
