​HR Manager at a Well-known Tech Retail and Service Company in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Lead and manage all human resource functions to support the company’s strategic goals in a dynamic tech retail and service environment

The Role

This role requires developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, develop, and retain talent while fostering a positive work culture

Our client company continues to expand, with business strategies aimed at growing its distribution, retail, and enterprise service units

Description

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates

  • Manage employee relations, addressing grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution

  • Design and implement training, career development, and succession planning programs

  • Administer performance management systems, including appraisals and feedback mechanisms

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations

  • Maintain and update HR records, reports, and metrics for management review

  • Collaborate with department heads to understand workforce needs and provide HR support

  • Lead and develop the HR team to enhance their capabilities and effectiveness

  • Promote employee engagement, morale, and organizational culture development

  • Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements, advising management accordingly

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Professional HR certification is an advantage

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail, technology, or service sectors

  • Proven track record in managing full-cycle HR functions and leading HR teams

  • Strong knowledge of Myanmar labor laws and HR best practices

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Burmese; ability to interact with diverse teams

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff
