Head of HR at an International Company in Yangon, Myanmar.

Our client is one of the well-known international companies in the Yangon and Southeast Asia Region

The Role

This role is required to act as a strategic partner to the business, driving holistic people strategies to foster a high-performance, compliant, and values-driven workplace within the organisation

Description

  • Oversee end-to-end HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and retention

  • Ensure compliance with Myanmar labor law and corporate policies

  • Drive organizational change, workforce planning, restructuring, and transformation projects

  • Advise management on organizational design and talent pipeline development

  • Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

  • Develop and deliver engagement programs including recognition, well-being, and development activities

  • Build local capabilities and facilitate international best practice sharing

  • Ensure HR operations meet all legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • At least 8 years’ progressive relevant experience, with 3–5 years in a senior HR/people leadership role, ideally in international organization

  • Demonstrable experience in leading teams and managing HR in a multinational or matrix environment

  • In-depth knowledge of Myanmar labor law, compliance, and best HR practices

  • Strong strategic and operational HR management abilities

  • High proficiency in employee relations, conflict resolution, and change management
