Hatchery Manager at a Leading Livestock Company in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Responsible for managing all daily operations of the hatchery, ensuring high-quality chick production and compliance with bio-security standards

The Role

An exciting leadership opportunity for experienced hatchery management professionals with expertise in incubation programs, technical maintenance, and team leadership

About the Company

Our client is a leading international livestock company with a strong market presence and under a large group of companies

Description

  • Supervise and manage all daily activities of the hatchery, including the egg and chick teams, temporary staff, pull-out operations, and vaccination processes

  • Oversee incubation programs, collaborate with partners to identify and resolve issues, and implement improvements to enhance incubation outcomes

  • Perform technical inspections, develop operational procedures, create necessary forms, and monitor daily activities

  • Ensure the maintenance of the entire hatchery, including mechanical and electrical systems, spare parts, and technical equipment

  • Guarantee the quality of chicks, including vaccination and injection quality, titer adaptation, client feedback, and storage conditions for day-old chicks (DOCs)

  • Manage egg transportation, grading, collection, and planning for setting and hatching

  • Collect and analyze data for each hatch, ensuring traceability of sources

  • Maintain all technical aspects of the hatchery, including technician rooms, incubators, pump houses, wastewater facilities, air inlets, ceilings, and camera systems

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of mechanics or automatic electric systems

  • Diploma or degree in a hatchery-related field (Veterinary or Animal Science preferred)

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience

  • Flexible, accountable, detail-oriented, and honest

  • Ability to work under high pressure and willingness to work overtime

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Good public communication and presentation skills
