The Role

Great Opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager who is experienced in overseeing financial planning and analysis, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance

About the Company

Our client is an Insurance Services company which is mainly providing the best practices of insurance products to the customers in Myanmar

Description

  • Prepare and maintain a full set of yearly financial statements, monthly management accounts, and monthly/weekly performance reports.

  • Review and verify various reports of incoming revenue, including premiums, interest from investments, etc., and submit final daily/weekly/ad-hoc reports.

  • Monitor outgoing funds, including payouts for claims, operating expenses, petty cash, cash advances, etc., and verify with fund flow.

  • Prepare cash forecasts.

  • Act as a key coordinator for all finance functions to ensure data integrity and support optimal team performance.

  • Create, analyze, maintain, and monitor financial performance-related management reports.

  • Prepare budgets and perform financial analysis as required by the business.

  • Communicate with external auditors, tax officers, and regulators as necessary, and submit returns where applicable.

  • Understand the end-to-end data flow within the finance team and support finance-related project implementations as a process owner.

  • Prepare ad-hoc letters/applications in English and Burmese as needed by the business

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant areas

  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance position within the banking, microfinance, or insurance industry.

  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, capable of learning new things quickly.

  • Shows proficiency in handling challenging situations and consistently meet tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong report writing and communication skills.

  • Experience with year-end/month-end closing processes in financial software
