Involves managing and maintaining the company's general ledger, which is the central record of all financial transactions

Description
Preparing and managing general ledger entries such as accruals, deferrals, depreciation, and interdepartmental transactions
Supporting the monthly and annual close processes by preparing journal entries and account analysis
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL), ensuring accuracy and making necessary adjustments
Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes according to schedule
Perform bank reconciliations and verify financial transactions
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax filings
Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits
Utilize accounting software proficiently to ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry and record-keeping
Collaborating with various departments (e.g., sales, legal) to gather and analyse financial data and address accounting queries
Take responsibility for daily, monthly, and annual accounting and financial operations
Assist in preparing accurate financial reports, statements, budget and summaries in a timely manner (e.g., Balance Sheet, Income Statement)
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Typically, 2-3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar accounting roles
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, especially Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally. ERP 9, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office tools
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience supporting audits and tax filings is highly valuable
