Job Description

Assistant Finance Manager at a Leading Asian Conglomerate Company in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections for construction projects and the company as a whole

  • Up to 2,000,000 MMK plus other allowances and benefits

The Role

This role requires to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic insights to support decision-making. This role requires expertise in financial management, project accounting, compliance, risk management, and cash flow optimization

Our client company is one of the leading conglomerates in Myanmar, specializing in diverse sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and trading by offering both import and export services to meet domestic and international demands

Description

  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Monitor financial performance across projects and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations

  • Establish and manage accounting processes for tracking project costs, billings, and revenue recognition

  • Ensure adherence to local/international accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements

  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and financial data

  • Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient funds for ongoing operations

  • Manage external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of finance/accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS), financial reporting standards, and tax regulations

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent analytical skills for financial forecasting and variance analysis

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Proficiency in English and Burmese (spoken/written)
