MyWorld, together with our affiliated companies P&O and FocusCore, has made a generous donation of 10,000,000 Kyats to support those impacted by the recent floods in Myanmar. In response to this natural disaster, we are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those affected.
Typhoon "Ragi" brought heavy rainfall and severe winds, particularly affecting Naypyidaw and several other states and regions, including Kayin, Mon, Mandalay, Eastern Shan, Northern Shan, Southern Shan, Kayah, and Bago. In these areas, specific townships such as Hpa-An, Mawlamyine, Mandalay, and Lashio were severely impacted, leading to the evacuation of over 6,500 households to temporary shelters. Our contributions aim to alleviate the hardships faced by these communities.
Our donation has been directed to the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), a reputable organization that effectively manages the funds to provide essential support in the affected areas. This includes the procurement of a vital boat equipped with an outboard motor to facilitate the efficient transportation of essential supplies. We are committed to providing basic food supplies such as rice, sunflower oil, salt, canned fish, and chickpeas, along with personal and hygiene items, to ensure the well-being of the affected communities. Our efforts also included the direct transportation of supplies to the impacted regions, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
We stand in solidarity with the flood-affected regions and remain committed to helping these communities recover. Together, we believe we can overcome these challenges and restore stability and happiness to those in need. We extend our heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery for all those affected.
Together, we can bring hope and relief to our communities.
