Job Description

​Principal at a Well-known Education Centre in Yangon, Myanmar

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the education centre, overseeing academic programs, staff management, student welfare, and daily operations to ensure a high-quality learning environment

  • Up to 2,500,000 MMK plus other allowances

The Role

This role requires to lead and manage all academic and administrative functions of the education centre

Description

  • Supervise and support teaching and non-teaching staff, fostering professional development and instructional improvement

  • Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure teaching quality aligns with international or national standards

  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for students’ academic, physical, and social growth

  • Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to promote the centre and increase student enrollment

  • Manage resources, facilities, and budgets effectively to support educational goals

  • Act as the primary liaison between the education centre, parents, students, staff, and the wider community

  • Ensure compliance with relevant educational laws, regulations, and accreditation standards

  • Make timely decisions and provide clear communication to all stakeholders

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field preferred

  • Relevant certifications or licenses in school administration are advantageous

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of teaching experience with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or principal role, preferably in an international or private school setting

  • Experience with curriculum development, staff supervision, and instructional leadership

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to foster a positive school culture and promote student-centered learning

  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken) and Burmese
