Responsible to manage the overall rice export business

The Role
The ideal candidate's background for the role comes from managing and leading rice export business. Strong understanding of the industry norms, international trade and provide strategic planning to the business to meet the financial objectives of the business

Description
Develop and implement strategies for growth in the rice export market
Set short-term and long-term goals aligned with the company’s mission and objectives
Identify and explore new markets for rice exports, staying updated on global trade trends
Oversee procurement, processing, and quality control to ensure rice meets international standards
Ensure efficient supply chain operations from sourcing to shipping
Manage relationships with suppliers, transporters, and international distributors
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including trade and export standards
Led the team to expand market share and improve sales performance in target regions
Develop and implement marketing strategies to position the company’s products in key markets
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and other relevant events to promote the company’s rice exports
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the company
Manage cost control measures to maximize profitability
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of financial performance
Identify and mitigate risks associated with exports, including geopolitical, legal, and logistical risks
Ensure the company adheres to safety and ethical standards in its operations
Set performance KPIs and provide regular feedback to staff on performance
Negotiate contracts with international clients and ensure satisfactory service delivery
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Trade, Agriculture, or a related field. MBA is preferred
15+ years of experience in international trade, rice export, or agricultural commodity markets, with at least 10 years in a senior management role
Strong understanding of rice procurement, processing, quality control, and global trade regulations
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team across multiple functions
Proven track record of growing market share and increasing profitability in export markets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Strong analytical skills and business acumen
Familiarity with global supply chain management and logistics
