Job Description

Assistant Manager of Accounting (Tax & Payroll Services) at a Foreign-Based Corporate Service in Yangon

  • You will play a pivotal role in overseeing tax compliance, payroll processing, and financial reporting for the firm

  • Up to 2,100,000 MMK plus other allowances and benefits

The Role

You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the accounting process and various matters as assigned ensuring a proper financial control on the operations

About the Company

Our client company is one of the largest foreign-based corporate service in Yangon, assisting in legal matters to its clients

Description

  • Liaise with clients and / or the team leaders in preparing of the quarterly advance payment of tax as well as yearly tax returns along with required schedules

  • Liaise with local Tax authorities for following-up the tax assessments and attend to the IRD queries

  • Oversee the firm's accounting, bookkeeping, and tax services department, ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with applicable laws and standards

  • Prepare fee estimates for potential clients

  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager of Accounting, Tax & Payroll Services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA Part-2 (skills module) in progress)

  • At least 5 years of work experience in a senior role in Tax compliances and accounting services international work experience is an advantage

  • Strong (local) Tax expertise

  • Strong English Skills, both written and spoken

  • Possess strong communication skills (oral and written) to service clients

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

  • Meticulous, deadline-driven, and adaptive

  • Fast learner and able to work independently

  • Team player with a positive working attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to multi-task and work on a variety of projects at the same time

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
