Assistant Accountant (Taxation) at a Leading Furniture Company in Yangon
Oversees tax compliance, prepares accurate tax filings, and collaborates with the finance team to optimize tax strategies while maintaining meticulous financial records
Up to 600,000 MMK plus other allowances and benefits
The Role
Ensures compliance with Myanmar's tax laws, preparing tax returns, and supporting financial reporting and analysis to contribute to the company's financial health and regulatory adherence

Description
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in accordance with Myanmar tax laws
Ensure timely and accurate remittance of taxes to the relevant authorities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required by management and regulatory authorities.
Maintain proper documentation and records related to taxation for audit purposes
Analyse financial data to support tax planning initiatives and strategies
Reports to Deputy Chief Accountant and Senior Manager
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, prefer B. Com, BBM or BBA holder
2 years of experience in taxation, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment
Solid understanding of Myanmar tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
