Sales Manager at an International Seeds Production Company in Yangon
Responsible for Managing and Developing the Commercial Function of the Seeds Business in Myanmar
Up to 4,000,000 MMK per month
The Role
The ideal background for the role will have strong hands-on experience in managing agricultural product sales preferably from seed products or crop protection products. Strong experience managing and leading sales teams. Self-motivated, able to travel based on business requirements, and experience working in an international environment

Description
The role will lead the entire sales activities of the company in Myanmar to meet or exceed budgeted annual sales
Ensure business growth in terms of customer acquisition, market share, product mix, volume, and price
As part of company values, smallholder farmers shall be at the center of the sales activities to serve them in the best way including regular visits, technical training, and innovative solutions to challenges
The sales manager will lead by example to develop the competencies of sales team members
Ensure team members meet the goals and objectives by setting processes and monitoring performance
Develop organizational strategies to hire, train, and mentor employees aligned with business needs and anticipate succession planning for critical positions, in cooperation with the deputy general manager and general manager
Develop and implement a relevant commercial plan by using market needs, anticipating trends, and identifying the unique and complex challenges and opportunities in the market
Ensure alignment of priorities between country and group functional head
Coordinate laterally with other departments at a country level and at a group level to ensure activities are completed as per required quality, on time, and within budget
Prepare the annual budget for the sales department
Meet or exceed annual sales and operating profits budget
Define channel partner commercial plan per segment
Nurture relationships with channel partners and farmers
Build and mentor an effective team to meet sales targets and strong seed-related knowledge
Establish a business intelligence strategy including the collection of valuable business insights about the market trends and competition landscape in coordination with the marketing function and product development department
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 7 – 10 years of working experience in the agriculture market and experience handling crop protection or seed products
Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
Can drive a car and have a valid driving license
Proficiency in English skills in both verbal & written
